I’ve been looking around for cheap flights for our trip to Orlando in June. I won’t be able to purchase them until next month, but I want to keep an eye on the current prices in case something really good comes up. In my search, I found the Monarch web site that flies all over Europe. They have the nicest, and easiest site to navigate with a flash enabled map of where they fly. You just mouse over the city you want to leave from and it will show all the cities you can fly to. I love it! I wish some of the airline sites I have been looking at had this feature. They should patent it and sell it to the US airlines.

Voodoo Ventures I always try to keep up with what people are saying about zappos.com on the internet. I found a good entry from a guy who visited the office during Halloween last year. He also took some great pictures inside the offices. He posted his list of the WOW’s he experienced at Zappos. Go check it out :)

I did a lot of shopping around on the internet for car insurance before I made my decision on which company to use. I need to find coverage for my son soon though. ASDA Finance, a Walmart company, has a great quoting system for people under the age of 21. They give you a complete run down of the type of coverage you need, and why you need special coverage for young drivers. They also offer several payment options that match the style that you pay your bills.

I got into my doctor today after waiting 1.5 hours. It wasn’t too bad of a wait, but I was nervous already, and then I started reading the incredibly sad book, Tuesdays With Morrie for the first time, so I was crying like a baby waiting to be seen. Michael came with me, and I am really glad that he was there. I’m sure his coworkers missed him today, as we had not planned this to be an all day adventure.

I saw a new doctor, since our insurance changed, and I am very impressed with him. I researched him online, and everything I read was 100% accurate. He is an amazing gynecologist, and I am very happy I found him. Plus he had a tablet PC and he let me play with it. Man that thing is cool!

So we get started with my history, and all my past procedures I have had done. They immediately got on the phone requesting all this information from my past doctor, and surgeon. They got it all faxed over and he read over all my history before even coming in the room to talk with me about all my options, and how he wants to proceed with my treatments, and boy am I going to have some! I am still as cysty and fibroidy as ever. Yes, I made up those words.

He decided since I was in so much pain to do the breast cyst aspiration on my left breast right there in the office. He wasn’t able to pull much fluid out, unlike last time I had this done, and realized that this one is pretty solid. He sent out what he could to the pathologist for further diagnostics. In 10 days when I am all healed and feeling better, I will have a mammogram and the ultrasound done. He will be the follow up for these test, but after I am done, I will start seeing a breast care specialist that he recommended. I hope this woman is as great as he is.

I also had a pap and a pelvic test done, and he felt around all my uterine fibroids that I have. He said my uterus was the size of a 10 week pregnancy, and he is going to be doing an ultrasound next month. He wants to look at them during a certain time of my cycle, so we set that date at 2/27, hoping that will be the right time he is looking for.

I am also going for some blood work as soon as I get up to the lab. He has ordered a TSH (thyroid), FSH (menstruation, and fertility), HCG (pregnancy), and the CBC.

Well I know this is long, so I better stop for now, without boring you any further. My blog serves as a great medical resource for me to go back and get dates on procedures I have had done, so a lot of this is more for me. If you are still reading, I am in bed with mild discomfort. I came home and fell asleep immediately after eating. I’ve got ice packs on my chest, and I’ve taken 600 mg of ibuprofen. I had the same reaction as I did last time to the lidocaine as I feel woozy, and light-headed. This time I am having nausea also, and my stomach just feels so knotted up. This is a common side effect, so I’m not worried. I think I better take more ibuprofen before I go to sleep though. Being on my computer and typing has made it hurt more. Hopefully tomorrow I will be all better.
