Oh someone kill me. LOL! I went to export my MT yesterday to import it into WP. My export file was over 5 megs, and I thought, hmmmm, that’s pretty large, but I went ahead and imported it. The migration was the easiest thing ever, and I was really impressed

I started looking at old entries just to see all that happened in the last few years, and I started noticing entries that had over 3000 comments! WTH? So I looked closer and they were actually spam trackback pings.

I didn’t want them on my new WP, so I went back into MT to delete them before exporting my file again. Turns out, I have never once checked my trackback pings, in the whole 3 years this MT has been installed, they’ve been turned on to accept without me having to approve them.

I have been deleting them since around 7PM last night, and I am still at it trying to get rid of them. The admin screen lets me delete 125 at a time, and at last count I was at around 50,000.

I am seriously considering, paying one of my kids to do it, I’m beat. I have a Desperate Housewives calender hanging here and this month it’s Susan. At the bottom of each month is a quote one of the girls have said on the show. Hers reads, “Could you give me a moment? I’m asking God to kill me.” I understand this quote so well right now.
