All week we’ve been told that today we would see 3-4 inches of snow here in Las Vegas. I had planned on going out this morning after I dropped off the boyz at school to get some pictures. I charged our big camera and got all the lenses ready to go in my car.

Well I woke up to no snow, although it is super cold out right now. The winter storm watch has been downgraded and we’re only to get 2 inches now. I’m disappointed.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A SNOW ADVISORY… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 PM THIS EVENING. THIS REPLACES THE WINTER STORM WATCH.

LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON THE DESERT FLOOR THIS MORNING…WITH MORE SIGNIFICANT SNOW POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE…BUT LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS MAY BE SEEN IN THE WESTERN FOOTHILLS OF THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY AND OTHER HIGHER TERRAIN ACROSS CLARK COUNTY.
