I’ve been on the internet forever now it seems. I think I have seen that, been there, and done that over and over again. But something I have noticed more and more is some people love to use the phrase, “I have a life.” That phrase always comes right after they put someone down.
That statement just slays me. It’s as if they are saying their life is more important than yours. Everyone’s life is important. No matter what you do with it. It is just as important as the next persons. No matter how you spend it day in and day out.
My job is to blog. My job involves the internet. I have to sit here everyday doing my job. And it’s also my life. Yes, just like everyone else I have a life. It may not be the same as their lives, but I have one.
What phrases slay you?
I have a life too!!! WHEEEeeeeeeeeeeee
Heck, busy or slow, interesting or boring…we all do…and how are they so sure their life is “better” ya know? My life has been all sorts of ways, and I love the quiet version much more than the over the top crazy one! It’s still my life…. ![]()
Yeah!!!!!
Kudos for this Jules! I have a life too, even on the days I don’t do anything with it besides sit on the computer. I’ll never get why some people think what they do with their time is somehow more valuable than what I do with mine.
My life is more important.
My cover is blown…I thought I had a life!
That reminds me of the same kinds of (snotty) remarks SAHM’s get. I think people are just jealous because you can work in your pajamas if you want to. I wish I could.
