The concert was really fun. David Lee Roth’s timing was off for almost the entire show, and Wolfie lost the rhythm a couple times, but over all it was neat to see them all playing together. After a solo with Eddie and Wolfie, Eddie kissed him on the cheek. I thought it was just so sweet.

I did notice a couple things about Eddie. He was wearing his wedding ring. They actually just finalized their divorce a couple weeks ago, even though they have been separated for almost 7 years. I also noticed him wearing a locket around his next which appeared to be a picture of Valerie in it. I’ve looked around the internet and haven’t seen anything about it, so I’m really curious. Maybe he’s still just in love with her.

Eddie and Alex played like they did 25 years ago. It was pretty amazing to see them still going strong. We had a really great time singing along to all the songs, and playing air guitar. HA!

Almost 30 years later, and I am still getting goosebumps when I think of going to a Van Halen concert. It was 1978 the first time I saw them in concert, and tomorrow night will be my 15th Van Halen concert. Dude! That trips me out, thinking how long ago that was.

The walls in my bedroom were pale yellow when I was a teenager, and I hated that color. I still have an aversion to yellow, and I’m sure that is what made me that way. I bought every Van Halen poster I could find at Spencer Gifts, or The Record Shop, and tacked them up side-by-side on my walls, hiding that putred color.

I’ve seen Van Halen with David Lee Roth of course, and I’ve seen them with Sammy Hagar. I’ve even seen them with Gary Cherone, but I’ve NEVER seen them without Michael Anthony! He is the bassists and always will be to me. But the thought of seeing Wolfie (Eddie’s son) playing bass on stage excites the hell out of me.

Valerie was pregnant with Wolfgang when I was pregnant with J.R. and my friends and I would talk about how cool it would be to deliver our babies on the same day. (stalker) It didn’t quite work out that way, because Wolfie was born in March, and Julian, I mean J.R. was born in May.

I fought long and hard for the name Julian, and ultimately lost the battle. To this day I still ask J.R. to change his name to Julian. He isn’t going for it. Ooops, I just let out a Top Secret Tuesday secret on a Thursday, and totally got off topic.

Oh well…I’ll be rocking out to Eruption, And The Cradle Will Rock, Why Can’t This Be Love, and Jump tomorrow night. Call me on my cell, and I’ll let you listen ;) You know you will be calling Mr. Fab!

I hope everyone is having a terrific holiday season this year! I could go on and on about the joyous family time, and the holiday cheer, but it’s way better talking about the cool presents I got. LOL!

I got a Sony Cybershot DSCW55 which is probably the sexiest camera on the planet.

Also a Bluetooth thingy for my cell phone, in pink of course, with a cell phone case, and a little screen cleaner. I really needed this so I could talk hands free to Courtney during my commute, a nightly ritual. Just ask her how many cars I have almost rear-ended.

And some North Face Tent Boots. They are so comfy, cozy, and warm.

And the greatest XBOX360 game ever, Rock Band. I’ve only been the singer so far, but Michael and I stayed up until 5:00AM in the morning playing. We even outlasted the boys! HA!

Here I am singing, “Say It Ain’t So” by Weezer (camera phone image):

So tell me what you got! And if you blogged about it, add you link so I can see your presents also!

I’m going to do a quick bullet point entry, because I just got a new batch of Netflix movies in, and I want to watch them.

  • I got a really nice Christmas card from Amy yesterday. She’s got a lot going on in her life right now, so I thought it was really sweet that she took the time to send a card to my family. (Special note to Amy…I meant to comment earlier on your forum entry, but I got sidetracked at work. I’m thinking of you, hang in there woman!)
  • The guy I was a Secret Santa for at work walked off the job on Tuesday, so I had to scramble to find out who his was, so I could take over the duties. I went to hell the mall after work and bought my new person the cologne that he listed on his “interest sheet,” Ralph Lauren Explorer. Thank the heavens above I don’t work around him. It smells like butthole.
  • I am about 3/4 of the way done with my Christmas shopping. Express shipping is expensive. I don’t know why I wait year after year and spend more money on shipping than gifts. I need to get my act together next year. It’s ridiculous.
  • And here’s a special Christmas greeting from me to you. Don’t say I never gave you anything.
