You know how when you change cell providers and your phone number changes? I’ve had a couple different numbers in my lifetime and I’m sure you have to. The oddest thing EVER happened last night to me and my cell phone.
We were on our way to dinner and my phone rang. I looked at the caller id and it said it was my old boss from a couple years ago. I said, “Why is she calling me?” I didn’t answer it thinking she would just leave a voice mail. Then Michael’s phone started ringing with the same number on his caller id. We looked at each other and thought, “What the hell? She wouldn’t have your cell phone number.” Then my phone rang again from the same number and I said, “Well I guess I better answer it, something is up.”
On the other end was my son Justin telling me he was on his way home. I said, “From where? Where are you? You are with (insert bosses name here)? What? How?” He said, “Mom you are weird I’m just using my friends cell phone to call you. I will be home soon.” We hung up and I freaked out for quite a bit because it was just so strange and I was trying to piece the puzzle together in my head.
I guess what happened is my old boss doesn’t have her number anymore and now my son’s friend, totally unrelated has her number. Two people I know that have had the same number. What are the odds of that happening? It just freaked me out.
Dude, that’s freaky!
If only they could stop telemarketers…
This incident is really hilarious and chances of such things happening are once in a million. But if it does happen to me I would prefer to waive it off with a smile.
