My pseudo daughter, Adrina, is a famous recording artist tonight!
The Killers have a new song, When You Were Young, and it premiered here tonight on the radio in Las Vegas. She played her violin on the track and she even has a solo!
Thanks to the President of the Feelgood Society for ripping it to mp3.
Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you darling! You rock!

I’ll be buying this CD!
I am sooooo behind on this journal, but everything has been great so it’s just life getting in the way
I almost fell off my chair when I saw a comment from Sandie. YES! It HAS been that long! Welcome back my friend and I hope you are feeling better.
Okay, time for the updates!
Justo Man got his cast off as expected but was surprised when it still hurt to walk on it fully. The doctor showed him some stretching exercises to do and Hot Ernie showed him how to write the ABC’s in the air with his toes. He’s been working on these and hopefully will be back on his skateboard soon. He did get some video time in for his intro. It was him skating with his cast on. HA! That should get him sponsored fast
J.R. is all better and back to doing what he does best, sitting in front of the computer all day long. Where on earth did he pick up that habit?!?!
Friday night we went to Michael’s bosses house for a BBQ, pool party, and fireworks. We got there fairly late into the evening and I’m sure half of the people we talked to didn’t remember the next day. It was funny sitting back and watching them all stumble around though.
Saturday we didn’t do much of anything other than the housework, laundry, watched movies and just hung out.
Sunday morning Lisa and Christian got into town and the party began! We went to lunch at Lucilles Smokehouse Bar-B-Que for some damn yummy Coca Cola marinaded ham sandwiches. They are simply to die for, I SWEAR! Lisa and I did some shopping in the afternoon while the guys hung out here and do whatever guys do. I think they spent most of the time on the computer. Micheal on WOW, and Christian on EBay.
Later that evening we went to the Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel and Casino for a little drinking, gambling, and sight seeing. I hit a jackpot on a Red, White & Blue 777 machine which I think they probably rigged to win for the 4th of July weekend. I continued to contribute my money to every R,W & B machine I saw from that point out. My theory was quickly diminished when all my winnings were gone.
Sunday was spent running around trying to decide what to eat. We ended up at the Palms 24/7 Cafe which was surprisingly really really good food! We sat and played a little there, and Michael did really good on the penny Star Wars game.
We decided we wanted to hit a few small dives and stumbled upon the Golden Palms casino which we found out wasn’t a casino anymore, but was a very dirty and grimmy bar. It had a bit of old Vegas to it and very cheap drinks, so we sat around on the HIV’y couches and drank ourselves silly. We soon coined the place an Ultra Lounge where all the celebrity people must go when they come to town. The midget show every 30 minutes was the best I’ve seen in years! HAHAHA.
Ernie and Chelle joined us shortly after at our house and we hung out listening to music, drinking vodka, getting hair cuts and chit chatting before heading out to the fine and hip downtown area of Henderson Nevada. We hit up the three local casinos and took them for all the pennies and vodka they had. Michelle and I even got our names called in their drawing for $5.00 free slot play. Five bucks goes quite a way when you are betting pennies. We got carded in every one we went in which was funny because we were BY FAR the youngest in the crowd of 7 people.
On the 4th of July, Lisa and Christian headed home and Micheal and I caught up on our sleep. I sat outside on the trampoline and watched the fireworks all around our neighborhood then spent the rest of the evening looking for my cat Dizzy who hates the 4th of July. I finally found her in the closet hiding for her life.
Fun times had by all! Happy July!
