Yes, I got all the pine needles raked up and thrown away. Then we had a wind storm and 10,000 needles are on the ground again. Plus, our cinderblock wall dividing our backyard and the neighbors blew over. I’m glad to know it was so securely put up when my boyz were playing in the backyard – eye roll.
J.R. got sick last week with an ear, nose, and throat infection. He’s on antibiotics for 7 days. Justin has a little less than 2 weeks left until he gets his cast off – hopefully.
Michael and I went camping with friends over the weekend at Boulder Beach. The boyz stayed home and hung out with their father.
Here’s some pictures that Hot Ernie and Hot Michelle took.
We had a good time out there other than it really is too hot to be trying to sleep in a tent at night on Lake Mead during this heat. We spent most of the day Saturday floating on the lake on our blow up rafts. We also took a nap in the car with the air conditioning on. HA!
There are no hookups at this particular campground yet that doesn’t stop people with campers coming out there and running their loud ass generators all damn day. I like camping because it gives you a chance to get out in nature, sit under the trees, sleep in your tent, look at the stars, hike around and look at everything, and take in the fresh air. If all you are going to do is park your camper on a site, run your air conditioning all day long, and sit in your camper watching TV, just STAY THE HELL AT HOME. Don’t ruin my peace and quiet with your stupid annoying generator. There even was a time when two of them were running on each side of us and we couldn’t carry on a conversation with each other standing 5 feet apart! It’s just retarded.
Well it’s official. Justin broke his fibula and he’s in a walking cast for the next 3 weeks. The Orthopedic said it was a fairly simple fracture and it should heal just fine. His skate crew has been filming a video for the guy that runs the skate shop for a possible sponsorship. He’s not happy that one whole month of his summer won’t be spent skateboarding like he had planned. Hopefully we can get him out camping some weekend to get his mind off it.

I got a courtesy letter from our HOA that the pine needles need to be removed from our landscaping. If they are so worried about it why don’t they grab a rake and gather them up! LOL! And who the hell plants a pine tree in the desert anyway? Oh well, it’s a beautiful cool day of 95 degrees. I should get out there and enjoy the fall like weather
Another weekend has come and we didn’t get to go camping
Oh well the state park isn’t going anywhere, and we will make it up there one day.
Justin broke his ankle yesterday while skateboarding, and we spent the entire evening in the ER getting xrays and a cast. He has a fracture of his Distal Fibula and an Avulsion Fracture of the ankle. They put his leg in a half cast and he needs to go to a Pediactric Orthopedic doctor next week to do another set of xrays after the swelling goes down to evaluate treatment further. He’s pretty bummed out about being stuck in the house and not being able to skateboard. His last week of school is next week and he has finals all week. Thank god he only has to take a pen and not his whole backpack! I will be making several trips across town from my office to pick him up from school though unless I can talk with his friends parents and get him a ride. No walking home for him.

Thursday night was J.R.’s Theater Awards Night. The same people over and over and over again were winning all the awards, so it got to be really really long and boring. They did perform though, and that part I enjoyed. I had to get pictures of him all dressed up and wearing his first tie that wasn’t a clip on

So with that have a good weekend! It is predicted to be 107 here today in the high desert. Air conditioning is a good thing.
