Justin made a video of himself playing the song he wrote on his guitar. It’s a big file, 10 megs, so it may be a little choppy. Just wait for it to load and play

J.R. had his theater showcase on Wednesday night. The theme was “Relationships and Friendships.” The students wrote their own pieces then acted them out.

J.R. and his partner wrote a story about how a guy asked a girl to the prom because he felt sorry for her that she didn’t have a date. She took it as he really liked her, then was hurt when she found out that he had just done it out of pity.

Okay, I know I am his mother and I should be proud, but OMG!!!!! He did so well and I really got into the story. His lines just sucked me in, and you could tell they were filled with emotion and compassion.

I’m glad he’s in Theater. It gives his 15 year old DRAMA KING, SMART ASS attitude a positive outlet

Tonight on American Idol were songs from the year the contestants were born. Hot Chris Daughtry was born in 1979 and he choose Renegade by Styx. I wasn’t too impressed with any of the performances tonight, but Chris is my favorite so I voted for him.

May 1st. May Day. What happened to May Day? It use to mark spring, growth, and rebirth. When I was a kid we made May Day baskets. These would be colorful, candy filled baskets that we would put on our friends door step, ring the doorbell, and run. We would convert any pole we could find with steamers and balloons then dance around the Maypole creating a woven pole of colorful ribbons.

Today it marks a day for demonstrations throughout the United States, also known as International Workers’ Day, or A Day Without An Immigrant.

I miss being a kid on days like this. Life was so much easier then.
