J.R. has been out of school all week long with strep throat and a sinus infection, and then Justo Man came down with it Thursday. Michael took him to the ped on Friday and yep, him too! They are both on antibiotics and Tylenol. J.R. weighed in at 194 and Justo Man weighed in at 90 pounds.

I had a breakdown talking to the pharmacist on Friday over a bottle of adult Tylenol and if my almost 12 yr old (his birthday is Tuesday) should be taking the big boy stuff. She said yes, and I wasn’t ready to discard the chewable ones just yet. My hands were shaking and I fumbled the change she handed me dropping it on the ground. All along fighting back the tears and not wanting to accept them getting older. I had a good cry in my bathroom late at night when everyone was sound asleep. Where has the time gone?

I’ve been anti bacterialing (my new word) the house and scrubbing all the bathrooms down to a sparkling shine. Lysoling (another new word) the door knobs and light switches. I woke up with a little scratchy throat, but I am determined not to get sick! LOL!

Oh yeah, oh yeah! He’s so hot he gets all the lights and the rock star fog!

Chris Daughtry…the next American Idol

Michael’s friends got married on Saturday so we headed down to Burbank for the weekend.

The drive was cool because it was raining and spitting snow almost the whole way down. The weather activity was scattered so it made for a beautiful drive with black clouds to the left and bright beaming sunshine to the right. All the mountain tops were covered in clouds and snow, and the desert floor was covered with moisture holding down the flying sand and dust. I love crossing the California/Nevada state line and seeing thousands of Joshua tree all around.

Rain and wind in LA mean one thing. Clear blue skies, no smog and beautiful views of the city. We checked into our hotel, had a couple drinks, and headed to his friends house for the night.

I woke up sicker than a dog on Saturday morning and didn’t even make it to my hair appointment that I made. My head and throat was killing me, but I did manage to go with Michael to pick up his tuxedo and have lunch at The Boat.

The wedding was at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center which I immediately recognized where parts of Pretty Woman was filmed. It made for a nice setting. Michael was in the wedding party so I pretty much spent the whole night by myself surrounded with people I didn’t know. On top of being sick, it made for a long long night. At least I had the horses to go look at and take pictures of

Today we are waking up slowly, well I’m awake obviously, but Michael is snoring away still. We have to take back the tuxedo, grab lunch at Taco Lita, hit up the IKEA that we don’t have in Vegas, go back by our Monrovia houses and take pictures in the daylight (we got some night shots on the way in), and then head to his parents new house they built in Beaumont.

~Question of the Day~ When you are in an uncomfortable and unfamiliar setting do you stay and try to make the best of it, or do you kindly excuse yourself and head for the nearest exit?

Okay I had to cheat on my American Idol husband Chris Daughtery and vote for Taylor Hicks tonight. I voted for Katharine McPhee last night.

I can barely wait until 8:00 PM rolls around tonight so I can watch American Idol and see if my new favorite singer wins.

We were out last night so I just got to watch last nights episode that I recorded on my DVR. I have a NEW FAVORITE and it’s too late to vote for him now.

Chris Daughtry was always my hottie on the show but now I want him to be my American Idol Husband! His performance of Fuel’s Hemmorhage (In My Hands) was so fan-freaking-tastic I wanted to scream!
