Time to clean the house, and Skrinkle thought it was a game. Running and barking. Chasing after the vacuum and the Swiffer!

I am doggy sitting Steve and Lola’s very cute Rat Terrier, Skrinkle while they go on vacation. I picked her up tonight around 6:00PM after work. They had all her stuff packed up for me. Her leash, toys, bed, the sliding glass doggy door insert, and 11 little baggies filled with food, just like her own little stash.
The ride home was uneventful. She just hung out in the back seat, and I think she fell asleep. I had to stop for milk, so I cracked the windows about an inch (because anymore than that she would have squeezed her little 12 pound body right out) and went into the store. She seemed pretty happy to see me when I got back in the car.
When I got home and unpacked the car, Skrinkle went inside to sniff around. She’s been to my house several times, so she pretty much knows her way around. I unpacked her food and toys, and put the sliding glass door insert in.
I got all settled in for the night and she jumped right up on my bed and laid down right next to me. Michael then got her going and she was chasing him all over the house barking and jumping around. They both came back and fell on the bed panting.
Dizzy, my cat, hid from her for the longest time on the stairs. She just sat there watching every move Skrinkle made. Once Skrinkle caught wind of her she bolted up the stairs after Dizzy, and Dizzy flew onto the futon in Sandy’s (my room mate) room. Up and over his head she went and back behind the pillows to hide. Sandy grabbed Skrinkle and brought her back down stairs.
Skrinkle has cuddled up with us a couple times on the bed, but she is now wandering around the house looking rather lost and confused. I’m sure she misses her mommy and daddy. This should be an exciting 11 days. It’s like having a small child in the house again.
No worries mom and dad! She’s getting lots of attention and loving. We love Skrinkle just like we love you two. (HAHAHA! So mushy and corny!)
