I’m soooo glad that is over! I’m home, packed in ice, and still numb, and a little woozy, from the 20cc of Lidocaine they gave me.
The doctor was able to determine that none of the cyst were solid, but all liquid filled, so there was no need for a Core Needle Biopsy, thanks god! I had the much better procedure, Fine Needle Aspiration. She drained four of them, 2 in each breast. She decided to send one of the samples from my left breast to the pathologist, and I should have those results within 3 days. Judging by the color and what I have read on the internet, I’m sure they are nothing more than benign cyst.
I had some discomfort, but nothing that was too overwhelming. Actually I was pretty amazed watching the needle going in and extracting the fluid on the ultrasound screen. Watching them go from these huge masses inside of me, to fluid in several needles on the table was really kind of cool! HA!
Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I know they really helped me.
Glad you’re back safe and sound.
I’m very happy that this latest chapter seems to be over for you.

Jules, I’m glad you’re handling this so well. I went through something similar a few years ago but it was very scary for me…and you’re just being so strong! You’re in my thoughts.

Yeah! My mom gets those. If she doesn’t get them drained they could calcify…
