I got home from work tonight and my house was falling to pieces. The cable modem light was flashing amber and we had no connection. No internet and no Xbox Live. I thought my family was going to break down before my eyes, as my almost 14 year old was totally out of control trying to connect to Halo 2.
I immediately connected to one of my stupid neighbors open wifi connections to see if Kris was online (he lives right down the street). He was connected fine and was having no trouble.
I broke down under the pressure and called my ISP’s tech support. He pinged my modem and got nothing, but told me that everyone on my street was online (yes I knew this for obvious reasons), and he scheduled a service tech to come out tomorrow night between 5-7PM.
The minute I hung up the phone our internet connection was back up and running at full speed, and we were all online.
*sigh*

As I recall, I was almost home when your internet came back on. It knew I was going to fix it so it just fixed itself. Yes, I do have the “computers will fix themselves when I’m around” power. Go ahead, look it up in google!!!
Your search - “computers will fix themselves when I’m around” - did not match any documents.

A few weeks ago Comcast was having DNS issues. I almost hyperventilated not being able to get online at night after work!
