I’m flipping through my Jean M magazine, which has given me the best ideas by the way, and I had a thought about our wedding reception.

On each table is going to be a place setting with fresh flowers. I would like someone at the table to be able to take the flowers home at the end of the evening. I think it would be fun to have some kind of contest to decide who gets it. I’m going to have place cards at each chair, so I don’t want it to look like I hand-picked this person.

Any creative ideas on a tasteful way to accomplish this?

On this day..

You could put all the place cards for that table into a basket of some sort and have an attendant draw one out.

Why not split up the one big thing of flowers into a bunch of little ones, enough for each couple or person to take a lil’ vase of
flowers home
OR
Have a number on the back of each
placecard & when the time comes you & nothus call out this special #… whoever has
that # on their placecard gets to
take the place setting on their table home.

Hope this helps! :)

Can you imagine everyone playing “Rock, Paper, Scissors”???

ROFLOL at Michael. You could also play “The Quarter Game,” but I guess that’s not good taste for a wedding.

Actually, you can put a sticker on the bottom of a random chair before you put the place cards out.

Hmmmm…. or Rock, Paper, Scissors might work, too!

MUSICAL CHAIRS!!!

I like the Musical Chairs idea! But I don’t think there should be a session going on for each table. Maybe drag the chairs onto the dance floor and if there was X amount of center peices then when there are X amount of people left we are done. I see a lot of chaos, heh.

ROFLOL! Yes, I see chaos, too! But how funny would those pictures be to show your grandchildren some day…. “This is where we played musical chairs at Nana and PopPop’s wedding!”

Whoever has the closest anniversary date wins.
