Last week was filled with new adventures and fun times. It was Spring Break for the boyz, in which I promptly coined it Spring Break for Mom and Michael as well.

Our corporate offices moved into our sales office to save on space, and consolidate the company. I guess laying off 458948902 people gives you room to do that. The new office is cool, but only because I am in a cubicle surrounded by the people I love to work with. Without sounding too dewy-eyed, I work with the greatest group of people ever.

The move went fairly uneventful until we got there and had no database, no email, and no access to the tech server. Oh and did I mention this basically continued, all week long until about 30 minutes before “Paycheck Friday?” So we bascially spent 3 days, decorating our cubes, surfing the web, watching DVD’s on our computers, and taking a million smoke breaks.

After getting all moved in on Wednesday we decided that happy hour at the Outback was mandatory. Let me give you a bird’s-eye view on this. The Outback is probably the greatest ever happy hour in Vegas. Your drinks are made in tall glasses, and you can actually call out your liquor and not just drink the cheap crap. The bartenders are just awesome, and so much fun. This particular one we go to is right next to the strip so you are constantly meeting new people that are in town partying. Not to mention the food is fabulous! It’s a guaranteed good time whenever you go.

This particular night there was a bartender that I had never seen. She started off nice enough, but as the evening went on, and we had more drinks in us, she started to seem annoyed and would ignore us. I guess it sucks to be a pregnant girl bartending in a fun place. Nevertheless, we had a fantastic time and towards the end of the night, after Brandon fell off his bar stool, she decided that we had too much to drink. So we just switched locations (i.e. my place) and continued on with the festivities.

Thursday was another long day at work with no database, and no emails. I brought in my new laptop and loaded all the software I needed on it. No parties that night. I was exhausted and went to bed fairly early. Well 1:00AM. HEH!

Friday was another pogo.com playing day online for me. Lunch was kind of cool as we all gathered at the old office for a going away party for Mona who is leaving on maternity leave. It was nice to be back in our own little area where we could sit and bitch about our new location and being surrounded by the filthy salespeople. I could really elaborate on this, but it deserves it’s own post. Check back later ;)

After the “Paycheck Friday” we headed to the Outback happy hour with an insatiable appetite for steak, and our favorite “weekend bartenders.” We defiantely were not disappointed. Great times as usual. They know we like to have fun and laugh, and they allow it. We were hoping that Randy and Rachael would show up as he said they might. Michael’s never partied with them, and I knew it would be a good time. Oh well…maybe another time, right guys??? *HINT*

After going home and making dinner for the boyz we decided to head over to the Roadrunner to meet some people from the accounting department. Courtney’s birthday was the reason for the celebration and those are always fun. We got there and didn’t see them. We had one drink then I called Shirin to see where everyone was. Apparently Courtney had changed the location at the last minute (I was warned of this) and I didn’t get the call as my cell phone was out of minutes. Luckily the new hot spot was right down the street and we took off.

At first it was a little weird, but only because this was my first time with them outside of the office. Mandy, Shirin, Katrina, Courtney, a million of her friends, and her sister was there. It ended up being a really fun night, and all the talk was very interesting to say the least. We left there trying to take it all in, but I swear my brain felt like I had the biggest kernel dump and I blue screened. (for those less geeky than I, it was brain overload) This morning was basically trying to debug it all and come to terms with the knowledge I have now. I don’t kiss and tell, so don’t even ask me. I didn’t share any of my departments dirty laundry and I have no intentions of sharing any of their’s. Kapeesh?!

On a personal level though, I did find out that their Director “hates me.” I found it rather comical as her and I have never had a one-on-one conversation, and she has never made an attempt to get to know me. I guess it’s the case of, you may be a threat to me or I am highly jealous of you, so I will just say I hate you, ignore you, and hope you go away. She’s just jealous because the voices only talk to me. Two bitches never get along well. It’s all good. My life will remain complete without her friendship. (just as I was typing that I got the low battery warning on my laptop. I rushed to plug it in as I didn’t want to lose this long ass post. I probably should have taken it as a sign and stopped.)

So it’s now Saturday night and I’m writing this entry, updated my youngest son’s computer to Service Pack 2 and frantically trying to delete all the crazy spyware he has. Michael took him to play pool for the night. I guess it’s a semi “guys night out” at a place for kids to play pool. HA! I’m sure they are picking up some hot 11 yr old babes. My oldest is locked up in his room playing WOW. A typical Saturday night at our house. Recovering from the week.

We really should stay home during the week, and party on the weekends ;)

On this day..

Justin and I had a great time playing pool!! Eight Ball, Nine Ball, you name it, we played it… even games we made up!! Justin flirted with the waitress; Showed her a magic trick, got change for the jukebox and pool table, etc… and of course she flirted back: “Oh, you’re the youngest person I know who likes Pink Floyd!!” I guess you can call it a guys night out, but I just had fun spending time with Justin and acting all goofy :-) :-) :-)
